une chose est sûre, la population khazare n’a jamais été juive, il y avait une petite communaute caïrite qui s’était développée à partir de la Crimée (comptoir byzantin), issue de conversions sporadiques au contact des juifs grecs venus de Constantinople et absolument tous caïrites ; et la première conversion d’un monarque Khazar (pour des raisons politiques) s’est faite en Crimée, et non dans le Caucase (l’ arrivée des Radhanites et des musulmans s’est faite par le Caucase). la population qui peuplait l’empire khazar était un mélange d’autochtones indo européens sédentarisés au cours du temps et des nomades asiatiques qui les avaient conquis.
Des résidus de ces autochtones khazars convertis au caïrisme se retrouvent aujourd’hui dans les pays baltes et autour de Moscou (de mémoire mais ça se retrouve sur le net, c’est assez bien documenté quand on s’interesse au caïrisme). Par contre pour ce qui est de l’origine des azkhénazes, c’est toujours mystérieux pour moi : des européens convertis mais par qui quand et où ?
